Starting with the basics

On Windows based computers you can 

CTRL +Z = Undo (Used in Word, Excel and other programs to undo what you type, or last action.
CTRL + X = Cut selected item to remove from document and place in computer memory.
CTRL + C = Copy selected item into computer memory
CTRL + V = Paste item in computer memory
CTRL + B = Bold selected text
